As a remote transcriptionist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality, verbatim transcripts for our federal, state, and local clients. Key Responsibilities
Produce verbatim transcripts for federal, state, and local clients with a standard turnaround time of 5 to 7 days, with some jobs available at higher rates with shorter turnaround times.
Ensure all transcripts meet or surpass 98% accuracy, demonstrating strong attention to detail and research capabilities.
Utilize exceptional listening skills to accurately capture verbatim testimony.
Format transcripts according to client requirements, such as Bluebook, GPO, GAO, Chicago, Associated Press, or other style guides.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word 2013 or newer and other software required for transcription.
Commit to at least 20 physical hours per week, with the flexibility to adjust your schedule as needed.
Essential Qualifications
U.S. citizenship.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Typing speed of at least 70 WPM.
At least 1 year of legal transcription experience.
Strong attention to detail and research capabilities.
Exceptional written communication skills, including proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Working knowledge of legal formatting requirements and style guides.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word 2013 or newer.
Reliable high-speed internet service and a Windows-based PC with Windows 7 or higher.
Quality headphones and an Infinity USB foot pedal.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with federal, state, or local clients.
Familiarity with e-QIP or eAPP federal background check processes.
Knowledge of multiple style guides and formatting requirements.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
