About the Role As a Remote Inpatient Coder, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of inpatient medical records following ICD-10 and CMS guidelines. You will be responsible for coding inpatient records with precision and attention to detail, working closely with our team to drive success and deliver high-quality results. Key Responsibilities Coding of inpatient records following ICD-10 and CMS guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Reviewing and analyzing medical records to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures. Assigning and sequencing codes correctly, using 3M and EPIC systems. Staying up-to-date with changing coding guidelines, regulations, and industry developments. Collaborating with our team to drive success and deliver high-quality results. Meeting productivity and quality standards, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: RHIT, CCS, or RHIA certification. A strong understanding of ICD-10 and CMS guidelines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred: 3-5 years of experience coding medical records following MS-DRG and ICD-10 guidelines. Previous experience working with 3M and EPIC systems. A proven track record of accuracy and productivity in a coding role. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
