We are now seeking an experienced and skilled Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist to join our team, working on a 4-6 month contract to hire basis. A Day in the Role As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in processing various medical documents, including Independent Medical Reviews. Your primary responsibilities will include: Extracting data from medical documents and entering it into our electronic database via Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word Working independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion Using critical thinking steps to determine next steps and reaching out to clients via phone to obtain missing information Providing exceptional customer service and client coordination over the phone, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring data quality and integrity Working in a metrics/quota driven environment, meeting productivity and quality standards Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: At least 1 year of remote work experience, with a proven track record of working independently and managing your time effectively High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and data analysis Previous experience working in a metrics-based environment, with a focus on data entry, customer service, or client coordination Experience in the healthcare industry, insurance, or claims is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, with excellent data entry skills and attention to detail Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated computer or laptop (no Chromebooks), with a secure and quiet workspace Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration, medical records, or health information technology Certification in medical records or health information technology, such as RHIT or CCA Experience working with electronic medical records systems, such as Epic or Cerner Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
