Key Responsibilities

Implementing models, developing tools, and algorithms to optimize processes related to our case environment, with a focus on improving efficiency, automation, and supplier experience.
Identifying and measuring opportunities for analysis to improve efficiency and increase automation in claim settlement and claim adjustment, using advanced statistical techniques and numerical analysis.
Creating, validating, and executing algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, identify patterns, and recommend solutions, using data visualization methods to communicate results and support business decisions.
Analyzing, comparing, and interpreting large volumes of data in various formats, including structured and unstructured data, to solve complex business problems.
Designing data architectures and pipelines to integrate, collect, and standardize data, generating insights and addressing reporting needs, and ensuring the integrity of the data.
Investigating existing data and suggesting additional sources of data for improvements, using data mining techniques to identify trends and patterns.


Essential Qualifications

2+ years of relevant experience in data science, with a strong background in programming languages such as R or Python.
Experience with SQL and data visualization tools, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering, with a strong foundation in statistical analysis and data modeling.


Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as a master's or Ph.D., with a strong research background and experience with machine learning algorithms.
Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing environments, with knowledge of cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure.
Strong understanding of healthcare data and analytics, with experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and claims data.
