Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and proficient Remote Data Entry Specialist with a strong background in data entry and familiarity with home health processes to join our team. As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for accurately entering and updating patient OASIS information into the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring the integrity and completeness of the data. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, and the successful candidate will have a high level of expertise in utilizing the Epic EMR system. Key Responsibilities Data Entry and Maintenance: Accurately enter patient demographics, OASIS recommendations, and other relevant information into the Epic EMR system. Update and maintain client turnaround time, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Epic EMR Utilization: Navigate and utilize the Epic EMR system proficiently to perform data entry tasks. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Epic EMR data entry, and collaborate with IT support for system-related concerns. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of OASIS records to ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Identify and correct discrepancies or errors in OASIS reviews versus OASIS entries. Communication: Collaborate with Team Manager, Scheduler, and other team members to ensure performance and processes are effective. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to address data-related queries. Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Follow established protocols and procedures for data entry and record maintenance. Stay updated on changes and updates to Epic EMR functionalities and incorporate them into daily tasks. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, skills, and experience. The essential qualifications for this position include: Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare or home health setting. Willingness to gain proficiency in using the Epic EMR system is required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently in a remote setting. Effective communication skills. In terms of education, a high school diploma or equivalent is required. You must also reside in the United States and have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience working with Epic EMR system. Knowledge of home health processes and regulations. Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment. Certification in data entry or a related field.
