Responsibilities

Transfer data from paper formats into digital files or database systems with high accuracy and speed
Type in data provided directly from customers with minimal errors
Create complex spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, utilizing advanced data processing techniques
Verify data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring accuracy and integrity
Update existing data in a timely and efficient manner
Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested, utilizing advanced search techniques
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation and security
Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost or misplaced


Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position is a plus
Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing systems is strongly preferred
Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware
Basic understanding of databases
