About the Fleet Analytics Team The Fleet Analytics team is a vital part of Tesla's data-driven culture, responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform product development, optimize hardware designs, and improve customer experiences. As a member of this team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and data science, to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain complex software systems that leverage Tesla's vast amounts of data Provide technical guidance and expertise to Tesla's data engineering and data science communities on best practices and industry trends Work with engineers to drive the adoption of data-driven tools and technologies Develop and maintain reproducible data analysis pipelines using modern open-source technologies, such as Apache Spark, Pandas, and NumPy Communicate complex data insights and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Design and implement metrics, tools, and systems that enable engineers to self-serve their data insights Write clean, tested, and maintainable code that can be extended by other software engineers Essential Qualifications 7+ years of software development experience in a related field, such as data science, data engineering, or software engineering Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data processing engines like Apache Spark Experience with data analysis tools, such as Pandas, NumPy, R, Matlab, or Octave Strong foundation in statistics and data visualization Experience building data pipelines, web applications, and machine learning models in a professional environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to refine problem statements and determine solutions using first principles Preferred Qualifications Strong proficiency in Scala and distributed computing concepts, such as HDFS, Spark, and Presto Experience with DevOps tools, such as Linux, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes Experience with complex hardware systems and continuous integration and continuous development (CI/CD) pipelines Experience with data visualization tools, such as Bokeh, Superset, or Airflow Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Tesla, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
