Key Responsibilities
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal Data and Analytics and reporting processes
Research and stay up-to-date on rapidly evolving data requirements, ensuring essential system and process changes are implemented to meet these requirements
Identify potential process enhancements and propose implementation strategies
Develop and communicate information related to data, including reporting
Analyze the need for new programs or upgrades to existing software to match business needs and make informed decisions
Recommend solutions that adhere to company standards, considering the impact on upstream and downstream systems and stakeholders
Closely monitor projects from inception to completion and assist in User Acceptance Testing
Work on special projects related to data as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
2+ years of previous experience as a Data Engineer or equivalent experience
Experience with Tableau or other visualization tools, Data Warehousing, and Data Modeling
Strong experience with relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, and Vertica; NoSQL databases experience is a plus
Experience with user-defined workflows (e.g., Airflow)
Experience with writing Kafka clients and producers
Experience with Apache Spark Streaming and Hive is a plus
Problem-solving skills with an action-oriented approach to tackling complex problems
Working knowledge of data management software like Airflow or other ETL tools is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to design effective solutions
