Job Overview In this critical role, you will serve as a key member of our Data and Analytics team, working closely with stakeholders to design, develop, and implement data engineering solutions that drive business outcomes. As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining large-scale data systems, architecting data pipelines, and ensuring the integrity and quality of our data assets. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data engineering solutions that meet business requirements and drive strategic outcomes Develop, maintain, and optimize large-scale data systems, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines Ensure the integrity, quality, and security of our data assets, adhering to industry best practices and standards Work closely with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic initiatives Design and implement data architectures that support scalability, flexibility, and performance, leveraging technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data models, data flows, and system architectures Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering, recommending innovative solutions and approaches to drive business value Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong foundation in data engineering, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar capacity. You will have a deep understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and data governance, as well as experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, and Vertica. Additionally, you will be proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and have experience working with data engineering tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and Airflow. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or GCP Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI Experience working with agile methodologies and version control systems, such as Git Strong understanding of data security and compliance, with experience working with sensitive data sets Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will possess a unique combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills.
