Job Overview We are seeking an experienced remote data engineer and analyst to join our Accounting BI group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data management solutions, automating reporting processes, and enhancing the capacity of our accounting team to analyze and interpret financial data. This is a full-time, remote position that offers a competitive salary of $25 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key tasks: Collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams to design and implement data structures and technologies that facilitate the analysis of customer behavioral data Partnering with engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure, availability, and access to customer insights across the organization Designing, building, and implementing ETL pipelines using AWS and other technologies Developing anomaly detection systems to proactively identify potential data quality issues Enabling large-scale analytics using EMR and other big data technologies Establishing and implementing technology best practices across the organization Working on proof-of-concepts for the adoption of new technologies and tools Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: 3+ years of experience in data engineering Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines Experience with SQL and one or more query languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala) Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, KornShell) A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering, mathematics) Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates will have: Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR Experience with large data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop or Apache Spark), data warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure components, ETL, and reporting/analytic tools and environments Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex data sets and systems Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, with expertise in data engineering and business intelligence Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex data sets and systems Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of autonomy and independence Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
