Job Overview As a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing support to health plan members, providers, and their representatives via inbound and outbound calls. You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where no two days are the same. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, resolve issues promptly, and ensure that our members receive the best possible experience. This is a full-time, open-ended contract position, offering a competitive hourly rate of $17. Key Responsibilities Provide support to health plan members, providers, and their representatives via phone, email, or other communication channels Answer and manage inbound inquiries regarding health plan benefits, claims, eligibility, medical procedures, billing, and payments Conduct outbound and return calls to customers as necessary, to resolve issues or provide additional information Ask appropriate questions, listen actively, and document relevant information in our computer systems to ensure accurate and efficient issue resolution Communicate complex healthcare-related information in a clear, concise, and empathetic manner, to ensure that customers understand their options and can make informed decisions Handle customer complaints and grievances in a professional and courteous manner, applying conflict management skills to de-escalate potentially stressful situations Meet performance goals established for the position, including efficiency, accuracy, quality, member satisfaction, and attendance Essential Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in a call center environment, preferably in healthcare or a related field High school diploma or equivalent required Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a remote setting Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a healthcare-related call center, with knowledge of health plan benefits, claims, and eligibility Certifications in customer service, call center operations, or a related field Experience with call center software, including CRM systems and phone technology Bilingual or multilingual skills, to support diverse customer populations College degree or higher, in a related field such as healthcare administration, business, or communications Skill and Competency Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a unique blend of skills and competencies, including: Customer Service : Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction Call Center : Experience working in a call center environment, with knowledge of call center software and phone technology Microsoft Office : Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Empathy : Ability to understand and relate to customer concerns, with a strong emphasis on empathy and compassion Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner Benefits : Knowledge of health plan benefits, claims, and eligibility, with the ability to explain complex information to customers High Volume : Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high volume of customer interactions Healthcare : Knowledge of healthcare-related terminology, concepts, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a customer-facing role Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
