Job Overview and Key Responsibilities
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and updating benefits, assisting patients with interpreting and entering new or reordered medications into our pharmacy system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve any issues that may arise. Your exceptional communication skills will be essential in effectively collaborating with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to ensure that specialty medications are processed on time and that financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment.

Process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and updating benefits
Assist patients with interpreting and entering new or reordered medications into our pharmacy system
Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve any issues that may arise
Provide exceptional phone support to patients, responding to their questions and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities to ensure that patient needs are met in a timely and efficient manner


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

At least one year of experience in a customer-facing role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via phone
At least one year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
At least one year of computer keyboarding experience, with strong skills and proficiency
A high school diploma or equivalent


Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

At least six months of experience resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via phone
Experience working in a healthcare environment, with knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and medical terminology
