Job Overview In this vital role, you will serve as a direct point of contact for individuals registering for federal assistance, answering questions about prior registrations, and providing referrals to relief programs via our call center. As a Remote Customer Service Agent, you will be responsible for conducting all calls with patience, tact, and courtesy, determining the needs of each caller, and providing instructions and/or referrals as necessary. Your excellent communication and customer service skills will be essential in ensuring that each caller receives the support and guidance they need. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for individuals seeking assistance, answering questions, and providing referrals to relief programs Conduct all calls with patience, tact, and courtesy, determining the needs of each caller and providing instructions and/or referrals as necessary Enter information into our Windows-based computer database as required, following instructions and conducting scripted interviews Provide phone numbers and agency referrals as necessary for applicable secondary support organizations and other assistance Perform additional duties assigned based on the level of support required for the event Attend all scheduled shift meetings to receive event-specific information prior to beginning your shift Display excellent communication and customer service skills, exhibiting a high level of professionalism in all communications Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience considered in lieu of a degree U.S. Citizenship Ability to manage a high level of confidentiality Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently Must have a high-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps (50 Mbps for a shared connection) and an upload speed of 5 Mbps (10 Mbps preferred) Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly valued: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a call center environment Knowledge and experience with personal computers in a Microsoft Windows-based environment Familiarity with disaster response and relief efforts Bilingual or multilingual skills Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new software applications Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
