Job Overview: Remote Care Optometrist (Saturdays) We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Remote Care Optometrist to join our team, working on Saturdays. As a Remote Care Optometrist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, comprehensive eye exams remotely using state-of-the-art tele-optometry equipment and resources. Your expertise and commitment to patient care will ensure that all patients receive the highest standard of eye and vision care, utilizing the latest tools, resources, and technological support. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality optometric care and services to patients, establishing a positive doctor-patient relationship remotely. Conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, eye, and associated structures. Utilize and effectively leverage all available technology to deliver unsurpassed patient and customer experiences. Ensure that quality of care and systems are maintained, adhering to clinical protocols and accepted standards of care. Provide clear, motivating, and effective training and guidance to team members, making use of company-provided programs and technology. Strive to exceed expectations on all Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and performance expectations, contributing to a positive culture within the organization. Maintain State Licensure in good standing and stay up-to-date with Continuing Education requirements. Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: A Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited School or College of Optometry. A license to practice Optometry in the state of practice location (Lafayette, LA). A strong commitment to quality optometric patient care, with knowledge of current Optometric theory and technology. Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to problem-solve and organize effectively. Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Proficiency in using an electronic medical record (EMR) system. Basic computer troubleshooting skills and familiarity with MS Windows 10 or higher. Openness to becoming licensed in other states of need and operation. Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong clinical skills: The ability to provide high-quality optometric care and services, with a strong understanding of current Optometric theory and technology. Excellent communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with patients, team members, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Technical skills: Proficiency in using tele-optometry equipment and resources, as well as electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Problem-solving skills: The ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement effective plans.
