Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Branch General Manager to lead our remote team and drive business results. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for managing the overall branch warehouse and delivery operations, including expenses, compliance, safety, security, and workforce. You will partner with Sales Representatives, Support Team Members, and cross-functional partners to achieve business goals and provide the highest level of customer service. Key Responsibilities
Drive business results by continuously monitoring performance, profitability, and branch plans, and adjusting strategies as needed
Influence overall business results by building and maintaining cross-functional partnerships with Human Resources, Safety & Asset Protection, Sales, and Support Teams
Identify barriers to performance and use available resources to diagnose issues and remove barriers
Leverage financial reports and business data to support decisions that positively impact key branch metrics
Manage Branch P&L statements and plans, and actively look for new ways to improve branch staffing productivity and overall branch efficiencies
Drive Associate Engagement by empowering others to make decisions and take ownership, and demonstrate servant leadership by putting employees ahead of yourself
Create a climate that supports training and development, and promote continuous improvement by seeking feedback and addressing opportunities for growth
Build and maintain cross-functional relationships to promote engagement across a matrixed environment, and prepare your team to accept and thrive in a changing environment
Hire, train, assess, lead, coach, motivate, and drive Associate engagement, and maintain a long-term strategic view of Branch talent including recruiting needs, team dynamics, developmental needs, and succession planning
Promote the company's safety programs and enforce safety guidelines, and travel throughout the Branch territory as required
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
5 years of experience in leading Associates in warehouse, distribution center, or large retail environments
5 years of experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing P&L
Experience building and maintaining cross-functional relationships in a matrixed environment
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to drive Associate engagement, assess and develop talent, continue learning, show courage, take action, focus on customers, and deliver results
Must be able to work flexible hours necessary to meet customer and management expectations, and respond after normal work hours when necessary
Ability to move throughout all areas of the Branch, perform heavy lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, frequent bending, twisting, and reaching, and occasional climbing on stairs, ladders, or driving trucks with or without a reasonable accommodation to perform essential job functions
Must have a valid driver's license and meet company requirements for insurance and driver safety record
Ability to pass pre-employment drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record check
