Job Overview The Remote Programming group at Apple is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join our team of experts. As a Wireless Software Developer, you'll be working on pivotal wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and more. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing wireless solutions that enhance the customer experience with Apple products and services. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and patent the next generation of Apple's wireless technologies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and develop products used by millions worldwide Work across layers on state-of-the-art wireless cell technologies, including SIM, 5G/LTE Non-Access Layer, QoS, and IMS protocols Develop and implement wireless solutions that enhance the customer experience with Apple products and services Identify and create core wireless technologies that solve everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch, and other wireless product offerings Participate in the development of real-time operating systems and demonstrate excellent troubleshooting abilities for embedded system software products Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Wireless Communications, or a related major At least 3 years of hands-on experience in wireless protocol software development/framework engineering Solid programming skills, including design, programming (C or C++, script), and debugging Strong knowledge of 3GPP specifications, including SIM, 5G/LTE Non-Access Layer, QoS, and IMS protocols Experience with real-time operating systems and demonstrated troubleshooting abilities for embedded system software products Excellent communication and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: A Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Wireless Communications, or a related major Experience with wireless technology development, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and other wireless protocols Knowledge of iOS interfaces and experience with SIM, NAS, AS, and iOS interfaces Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, including programming, design, and debugging Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams A passion for wireless technologies and a desire to work on innovative, groundbreaking projects A focus on customer satisfaction and a commitment to delivering high-quality products and services Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Apple, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
