Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Technician to join our team in Mumbai. As a Senior RME Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, while also driving innovation and improvement in our maintenance processes. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior RME Technician, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians in completing responsive and proactive maintenance activities, fixing and maintaining the equipment that keeps Amazon running. Your key responsibilities will include:


Oversee and lead Maintenance Technicians by promoting, providing guidance and direction to help them achieve their objectives
Convey and maintain Preventive Maintenance programs, building consistency programs, including office and project worker management
Act as a diplomat for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site
Manage maintenance-related purchase requests to boost smooth office operation and control of basic extra and store stock to ensure sufficient stock levels for maintenance
Introduce, maintain, and investigate all FC systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, transportation, and any other operational equipment
Create and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization, including standard participation to site leadership gatherings and controlling panels


A Day in the Life

As a Senior RME Technician, you will be driving a team to ensure everyone has the equipment they need and that it's running properly. This includes observing cycles to ensure guidelines and strategies are kept and guaranteeing that preventive maintenance is done to increase equipment uptime. You will also recommend enhancements to make our systems more efficient and useful.

Fundamental Capabilities

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following fundamental capabilities:


Formal trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter/Turner, or current Electrical A-Grade license
Initiative experience in managing multi-trade teams in a fast-paced assembly/disassembly focus environment
Applicable experience in automation or material handling equipment conditions
Exhibited ability to perform multiple tasks and focus on a wide range of projects and responsibilities
Experience using CMMS (Automated Maintenance Management Systems) to design proactive maintenance and record responsive tasks
Experience in project worker management


Preferred Capabilities

While not essential, the following preferred capabilities would be beneficial for this role:


Understanding of PLC-based control systems and legal compliance requirements
Experience using automated maintenance management systems to design proactive maintenance and record responsive tasks
