About the Role As a Registered Behavior Technician at blithequark, you will play a vital role in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs established by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). You will work closely with our team to provide one-on-one in-home therapy sessions, collect behavior and skill acquisition data, and conduct discrete trials to support the development of children with autism. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions to inform treatment plans Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans under the guidance of a BCBA Work collaboratively with our team of BCBAs, therapists, and families to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, maintaining a high level of professionalism and goal-orientation Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for working with children and families affected by autism. We require: A Bachelor's Degree or be working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting, with a strong understanding of child development and behavior 1-year ABA Experience, or equivalent experience working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle, as you will be required to travel to client homes for therapy sessions Preferred Qualifications While not essential, we prefer candidates with: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification, or a willingness to obtain certification with our support Experience working with children with autism, with a strong understanding of ABA principles and practices A strong desire to pursue a career in ABA, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Physical Requirements This role requires: The ability to lift up to 35lbs, with frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and standing for periods of time Fine and gross motor skills, with the ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children A willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with flexibility to adapt to changing environments and situations Career Growth Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
