With a strong focus on employee growth and development, we offer a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters innovation and creativity. **Key Responsibilities** As a Quality Engineer - Technical Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for: * Involving substantial travel to blithequark customers in support of the Quality Assurance function, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. * Providing expert support to customers in consultation with the head of Quality Assurance, addressing raw and finished parts, prototypes, and serial parts. * Supporting complex trials and new product runs at customers, including documentation of results and presentation of initial sample parts. * Documenting results and ensuring a smooth and timely exchange of information between blithequark and customers based on customer requirements. * Performing analysis of quality concerns utilizing disciplined problem-solving techniques to identify true root causes. * Initiating and monitoring corrective actions in cooperation with Quality Assurance. * Coordinating/overseeing third-party activities as appropriate (i.e., sorting and rework activities). * Collaborating and leading projects in accordance with applicable blithequark guidelines. * Serving as the Voice of the Customer to blithequark operations, ensuring exceptional customer quality satisfaction and meeting all deadlines with accurate and thorough communication. * Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to drive process enhancements and quality improvements. * Organizing, planning, conducting, and documenting worker-training courses according to customer requirements. * Compiling monthly statistics regarding customer complaints, scrap, and rework. **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field of experience. * 5 years of Quality Assurance experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry. * Excellent organizational skills, strong oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills. * Computer skills with experience using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Detail-oriented with strong analytical/problem-solving skills. * Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (75% of the time). **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with iron castings and machining processes. * Fluency in German and/or Spanish. * Automotive manufacturing experience. **Physical Requirements** * Normal duties will include periods of sitting, standing, walking, and some reaching and lifting. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. **Benefits and Perks** * 401(k) plan with matching contributions. * Comprehensive dental insurance. * Employee assistance program. * Health insurance. * Life insurance. * Paid time off. * Vision insurance. * Opportunities for further education and professional growth. **Work Environment and Culture** blithequark is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
