About American Express Travel and Lifestyle Services (TLS) Test Group

The American Express Travel and Lifestyle Services (TLS) Test Group is responsible for testing travel-related products and capacities within the TLS product suite. As a Quality Engineer in this team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and customer expectations.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and providing expertise to engineers on Client Recognition Testing and Quality Assurance (QA) approaches and cycles. You will develop and execute test scripts, aid in the planning of test procedures, set up and maintain test data and conditions, and log results. You will also work closely with Product Chiefs, Vendors, American Express Developers, and Technical Groups to coordinate End-to-End (E2E) testing within the American Express Travel and Lifestyle Services portfolio.

Key Responsibilities


Arrange and work with UAT/E2E testing exercises across projects and large undertakings
Understand and support the Product Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Contribute and deliver to test plans, testing resource requirements, and overall scheduling of testing activities
Proactively participate in the design to mitigate defects and provide recommendations to the client story backlog requirements
Produce and maintain test data to support the requirements and experiment for different test stages
Monitor and track resolution of defects
Plan, monitor, report, and analyze quality assurance metrics, such as defect, imperfection counts, test results, and test status
Understand, support, and contribute to our core quality standards and be a part of the Quality Culture
Understand and support the development of automation and testing in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environment


Essential Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience required; postgraduate education preferred
Experience with Agile, Scalable Agile (SAFe), and other iterative application development techniques
Capability with Assembly, JIRA, or similar development and defect tracking applications
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours with occasional overtime on a case-by-case basis
Knowledge and involvement with at least one coding language


Preferred Qualifications


Desired skills/accreditation: Automation Frameworks and Tools
Experience with test automation and scripting languages, such as Python, Java, or C#
Familiarity with cloud-based testing tools and platforms
