Experienced Project Manager for Start-Up and Expansion of European Fulfillment Centers – Leading Complex Logistics and Supply Chain Projects in a Dynamic and Fast-Paced Environment

As a Project Manager for Start-Up and Expansion of European Fulfillment Centers, you will play a critical role in supporting the continued growth and expansion of Amazon's European fulfillment network. Key Responsibilities and Duties As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing large-scale projects, including the launch of new fulfillment centers, equipment deployment, and management of related processes. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading and mentoring project resources, including contracted support personnel, project engineers, and other specialists Coordinating schedules with multiple vendors and stakeholders to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery Managing overall project budget, approving purchase orders and invoices, and contributing to comprehensive budget development during project conception Planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of assigned projects Acting as the Company representative with vendors and suppliers during project execution Mobilizing company resources through effective liaison with support departments to create project teams capable of completing effective quality work Monitoring and reporting on project progress, including significant milestones and any conditions that may affect project cost or schedule Ensuring overall project schedule enables teams to be successful based on project milestones and Go-Live Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: Bachelor's degree in (Industrial) Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams Experience developing and managing large project budgets Experience in project management and implementation with proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation Verbal and written communication skills in English Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Project Basic working experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works, or other) Ability to travel throughout Europe up to 50% of the time Preferred Qualifications and Skills In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications and skills will be advantageous: Ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams to meet organizational capacity needs Extensive experience in project management and implementation with proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment Experience in launching new logistics centers, factories, or large facilities (including equipment deployment and management of all related processes) Certified Project Management qualification (PMP, Prince2, or other) Advanced CAD skills Language skills in French, German, Polish, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Amazon, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
