Experienced Program Coordinator and Math Tutor for Clermont College – Dynamic Academic Support and Student Success Role

Job Overview and Essential Functions Under the direction of the department manager, the Program Coordinator and Math Tutor will be responsible for planning, designing, delivering, evaluating, modifying, and coordinating math support services for students at UC Clermont. The key responsibilities of this role include: Providing on-campus and virtual math tutoring, including group review sessions and one-on-one tutoring, to students from diverse backgrounds and levels of preparation Designing, creating, and conducting workshops related to math support to enhance student understanding and confidence Monitoring weekly usage, identifying problems and solutions, and developing clear goals and action steps for program enhancement in conjunction with the program supervisor Planning, creating, and implementing marketing strategies to engage students in math tutoring, promote class supports to faculty, and increase usage rates Providing embedded tutor services in math classes with high DFW rates to support student success Interacting with faculty, staff, and other UC departments to ensure a collaborative and inclusive approach to academic support Developing, administering, and analyzing assessment and evaluation surveys to inform program development and improvement Compiling statistics and preparing reports to track program effectiveness and identify areas for growth Educating, communicating, and liaising with students, faculty, staff, and other college stakeholders about math tutoring and UC Clermont Learning Commons services Making presentations about UC Clermont Learning Commons services and participating in campus events to promote academic support and student success Required Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this role, you must have: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, or five years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training that can be used in lieu of the education requirement At least one year of program coordination experience, with a strong understanding of academic support services and student success strategies Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in email communication, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web conferencing software such as Teams and Zoom A patient, personable, and non-judgmental attitude towards students, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Experience working with college student populations, including first-generation and post-traditional students, and tutor program development Good organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work well in teams and adapt to a dynamic work and learning environment Preferred Qualifications and Experience While not required, the following qualifications and experience are preferred: One year of tutoring or teaching math at the high school or college level, with a strong understanding of math concepts and pedagogy Experience with college student population, including first-generation and post-traditional populations, and tutor program development Familiarity with web conferencing software and online tutoring platforms Experience with assessment and evaluation methods, including survey design and data analysis Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At the University of Cincinnati, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
