As a Principal, Strategic Finance & Analytics, you'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow beyond the core stays business. You'll work closely with business leaders to conceive, develop, and incubate new services that make a meaningful impact on the company's growth and success. The Difference You'll Make As a highly visible member of the team, you'll be a key day-to-day finance partner to the business leads for Experiences and Guest Services. Your expertise will drive business outcomes and growth through strategic analyses, influencing skills, and actionable insights. You'll be responsible for: Developing insightful recommendations based on hands-on analytics, financial modeling, and strategic analyses Driving operational rigor and performance management, including development and ongoing analysis of KPIs, dashboards, creating goals/OKRs, and holding the business accountable to those goals Creating new frameworks to proactively manage the marketplace health of Airbnb's nascent Experiences and Services business Partnering in the development of rigorous business plans and go-to-market strategy Identifying step-change opportunities in areas of outsized impact through quantitative analysis, industry benchmarks, and competitive research Being a role model of Airbnb's Core Values Your Expertise To succeed in this role, you'll need: A minimum of 8+ years of demonstrated relevant experience in an analytical role, such as strategic finance, strategy consulting, biz ops, investment banking, data science, or business intelligence A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, accounting, engineering, statistics, or other relevant field that demonstrates quantitative orientation (MBA or advanced degree a plus) Strong knowledge of SQL or other querying languages and the ability to synthesize complex information Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives for senior executives Superb financial modeling skills and extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis Demonstrated ability to work and influence cross-functionally, with a track record of driving change and impact in a fluid, unstructured working environment Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experience will make you a more competitive candidate: Experience in helping scale marketplace businesses from zero to one Advanced degree in a relevant field Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Airbnb, you'll have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a dynamic and innovative environment.
