About the Role We're seeking an experienced Principal Investigator to drive the success of projects and staff in the Southwest region of the United States. As a key member of our team, you'll leverage your expertise in cultural resource management and archaeological project management to deliver high-quality results that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership: Provide expertise regarding field strategies, research, and regulatory requirements at the state, regional, and federal levels. Research Design: Prepare research designs and build research teams to ensure that projects are executed effectively. Project Oversight: Oversee research, fieldwork, data analysis, report preparation, and other tasks to ensure that project goals, budgets, schedules, and contract requirements are met. Innovation and Quality: Recommend and deploy state-of-the-art technology and methodology to drive innovation and excellence in our projects. Technical Writing: Serve as the primary author and researcher on technical reports, ensuring research quality, integrity, and original authorship. Client Engagement: Develop and manage agency and client relationships, communicating project developments and results effectively. Mentorship: Train and mentor archaeologists and report authors to foster growth and development within our team. Project Management: Develop project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules, and manage project staff to ensure successful project outcomes. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Master's degree in Anthropology or a related field. A minimum of five years of supervisory experience encompassing time in field, laboratory, and office settings. Expertise in state and federal laws and guidelines governing cultural resources management. Strong experience in Arizona, Texas, and/or New Mexico archaeology. Demonstrated ability to manage cultural resource studies in a timely and cost-effective manner. Superior technical writing skills to produce high-quality technical reports and proposals. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Permitted or qualified for agency permitting. Meets the Secretary of the Interior's professional qualifications standards for archaeology and is an RPA or eligible to become an RPA. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Demonstrative experience obtaining permits across Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico.
