About the Role

Walmart's Global Security, Aviation, and Investigations corporation is seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Analyst to join our IROCC (Investigative Risk and Operational Compliance Center) team.

About the Team

IROCC is the analytics hub of excellence for Global Governance, providing critical support to our compliance, risk management, and regulatory teams. As a Principal Data Analyst, you will play a key role in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to drive business growth, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Principal Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:


Identifying and extracting relevant data to support a wide range of ERM and risk evaluation objectives, compliance requirements, and scenario planning initiatives.
Collecting and processing data from disparate systems across our US and global businesses, designing dashboards to help stakeholders scope risk and assess the maturity of associated controls.
Applying advanced analytics techniques and tools to develop defensible and repeatable methodologies for assessing risk, drawing insights and correlations from data and communicating findings to compliance professionals, attorneys, and business leaders.
Providing input on new and emerging risk areas through data-driven analysis, soliciting feedback and contributing to the continuous development of our ERM and risk evaluation processes.


What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will need:


Deep SQL knowledge and experience with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Tableau Prep, BigQuery, PowerApps, and Dataiku.
Experience working on legal, compliance, ERM, or risk evaluation matters.
Aptitude for generating impactful visualizations and using data to "tell a story."
Proficiency in coding using R or Python.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
A growth mindset and a willingness to learn new things.
