We are seeking an experienced Principal Cybersecurity Engineer with extensive expertise in proxy and web content filtering to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a critical role in protecting our networks, systems, and data from cyber threats. About the Job This is a hands-on technical role that requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, proxy technologies, and web content filtering. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in creating policy, tuning, and administration using technologies such as F5, Forcepoint, Broadcom, and Squid. You will be responsible for the engineering, deployment, operations, and maintenance of premise and cloud-based proxy solutions, including CASB, SWG, and ZTNA. Your expertise will be crucial in integrating proxy platforms with other security solutions and data sources, as well as performing hands-on proxy deployment, configuration, policy, and maintenance. Key Responsibilities Engineer, deploy, configure, and maintain forward proxy solutions, including CASB, SWG, and ZTNA Develop advanced alerts and reports to meet the requirements of key stakeholders Develop automation for security tools management and workflow integration Collaborate with key stakeholders within Information Security and Engineering teams to develop specific use cases to address specific business requirements Create and implement best practices for proxy rules and signatures to mitigate threats Design and implement custom alerting dashboards in SIEM for investigations Work extensively with stakeholders across AT&T to tune proxy policies Aid in gathering and presenting metrics for measuring performance and risk Provide ongoing support to existing monitoring capabilities and data collection systems Provide development support for the expansion and implementation of new systems Lead troubleshooting efforts in complex issues involving multiple platforms and network flows Required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 8 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with extensive experience configuring, operating, and managing premise and cloud-based forward proxies. You should have a strong understanding of proxy technologies, including F5, Forcepoint, Broadcom, and Squid, as well as experience with SSE (CASB/SWG/ZTNA). A solid understanding of web applications, web platforms, application firewalls, frameworks, and protocols is also essential. Essential Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of TCP/IP, web protocols, and networking concepts Expertise with mainstream operating systems, web services, programming languages, network devices, and attack vectors Advanced expertise in reviewing and analyzing log files, data correlation, and packet captures Script writing and programming using common shell and mainstream languages Senior-level understanding of PKI Technology Working knowledge of open-source and commercial application security tools and frameworks Solid understanding of Incident Response process and prior experience in Cybersecurity operations and Incident Response Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At AT&T, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $141,300 - $237,400, depending on experience and location.
