Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Prime Time Teaching Assistant to support our certified professional staff in delivering high-quality educational programs to our students. As a Prime Time Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, assisting students with diverse needs, and contributing to the development of our educational programs.

Key Responsibilities

Assist and guide students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction, and other skills.
Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned programs.
Assist professional staff in the administration and correction of classroom exercises, tests, and assessments.
Assist in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs.
Assist with record-keeping procedures to document student learning and performance.
Assist with classroom behavioral management to minimize disruptions, ensure a safe and orderly classroom, and ensure students are on task.
Assist students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch programs, bus duty, playground duty, corridor, study hall, and other related non-instructional areas.
Accompany students on field trips for the purpose of assisting with supervision.
Construct, copy, and distribute educational materials as needed.
Assist teacher with parent contact as requested to foster effective and participatory parent involvement in student education.
Assist students with special needs in all aspects of classroom instruction to maximize inclusion, learning, achievement of IEP objectives, etc.
Participate in IEP process and serve as resource for the student personnel evaluation team as needed.
Assist students with disabilities with activities of daily living for the purpose of maximizing their ability to participate in school or learning activities.
Follow all applicable safety rules, procedures, and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs.
May assist in the training of other teaching assistants.
Assist counseling or building administration, as needed.
Perform any other related duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:


A high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to use standard office equipment, such as personal computers and copiers.
Ability to understand, apply, and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel).


Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:


A degree in education or a related field.
Experience working in a school or educational setting.
Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
Ability to speak multiple languages.
Experience working with students with disabilities.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

A starting hourly rate of $14.84-16.01 per hour, based on experience.
An additional $1 per hour paid from referendum funds.
