Position Overview

Are you a dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can make a real impact in your community? arenaflex is seeking an experienced healthcare professional to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in our retail health clinic setting.

In this role, you will deliver holistic care that addresses the full spectrum of patient needs—from acute illness treatment to preventive care and chronic disease management. You'll be empowered to build lasting relationships with patients while practicing with the support of a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of the arenaflex clinical team, you will:


Deliver Comprehensive Primary Care: Provide holistic, evidence-based care including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions. Offer health counseling and anticipatory guidance tailored to each patient's unique needs.
Perform Patient Assessments: Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments to ensure positive health outcomes. Utilize clinical expertise to identify, diagnose, and treat illnesses and injuries effectively.
Administer Treatments and Procedures: Perform diagnostic tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Administer vaccinations and injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, flu, TB, and Depo) in accordance with clinical protocols. Provide evidence-based patient and parent vaccine guidance and education.
Offer Preventive Care Services: Encourage patients to become active participants in their healthcare and wellness journey. Provide health screenings, chronic condition management, social health resources, and wellness programs that empower patients to lead healthier lives.
Coordinate Care: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care. Ensure seamless communication and coordination across the healthcare continuum.
Conduct Patient Interviews: Interview patients about healthy lifestyle choices and provide guidance on nutrition, exercise, stress management, and disease prevention.
Handle Administrative Duties: Manage clinic operations including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, patient flow optimization, insurance verification, and payment collection. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment.
Manage Patient Appointments: Handle patient scheduling and perform triage assessments to ensure timely and appropriate care delivery.


Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:


Education: Graduate degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse role. OR, depending on state regulations, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related graduate degree with comparable experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice.
Clinical Experience: A minimum of two years of clinically relevant experience or equivalent.
Vaccination Administration: Current ability to request and control vaccinations and injections, including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, TB, and Depo-Provera. Must be able to provide evidence-based vaccine counseling and education to patients and families.
Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including proficiency in performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Ability to pass a FIT test and wear provided respirator covering when protocol requires


Specialized Training: Must complete the Spot certification test within 30 days of employment
Language Skills: Depending on market needs, the ability to be proficient in both spoken and written additional languages, particularly Spanish, is highly desirable
Clinical Competencies: Ability to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical issues. This includes education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sex practices.


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following will strengthen your application:


If you have less than 1 year of work experience as a licensed provider, previous student precepting experience with arenaflex or similar retail health clinic settings is preferred but not required
Demonstrated experience in fast-paced clinical environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
Background in preventive care and health promotion

Compensation and Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package that reflects your expertise, experience, and dedication to patient care. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $25 to $35 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
