As a Physical Therapist in our Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care. Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to fulfill the needs of our patients, families, and community by providing Physical Therapy services in accordance with their licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be proactive, dedicated to lifelong professional development, and have experience engaging with physician, NP, and PA providers. As a Physical Therapist at George Washington University Hospital, you will be responsible for responding effectively to new and changing work assignments and contributing to a collaborative environment where knowledge and experience are shared among physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. Key Responsibilities: Provide Physical Therapy services to patients in accordance with their licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements Respond effectively to new and changing work assignments Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field Contribute to a collaborative environment where knowledge and experience are shared among physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (Master's degree preferred) Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals by AHA or Red Cross Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to multiple and changing priorities Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: 2+ years of experience in pelvic floor rehab, orthopedic, or neurological physical therapy Manual therapy and orthopedic experience Experience working with diverse patient populations, including sexual health, transgender, prepartum, postpartum, prostatectomy, incontinence, and pelvic pain Lymphedema experience Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need: Strong clinical skills and knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At George Washington University Hospital, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our employees.
