We're now seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team on a 100% remote basis from the comfort of your own home in Illinois. About the Role As a Pharmacy Technician - Work from Home IL, you'll play a vital role in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, ensuring that our patients receive their specialty medications accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into our computer system, including calculating doses, assigning directions, and verifying insurance payments. Contact doctor's offices and insurance companies to ensure the accuracy of patient medication orders. Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and re-verifying benefits as needed. Respond to patient calls, providing compassionate and genuine care while resolving their queries and concerns. Work collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals and objectives, maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet our essential qualifications, which include: Essential Qualifications: A minimum of 6 months' experience working in a pharmacy setting. An active and valid Pharmacy Technician License and/or Certification as required by the State of Illinois. Proficient in Windows-Based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications, with at least 6 months' experience. Excellent data entry skills, with the ability to maintain accuracy and speed. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment. Ability to sit or stand for the duration of your shift (8-10 hours) and utilize a keyboard and operate departmental machinery. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone. Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, and prescriptions. Medical Billing, Coding, or other Medical assisting roles. Customer service experience in an office environment. 6 months' professional work experience involving inbound and/or outbound phone customer service. Education and Pay Range A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this role. The typical pay range for this position is $17.00 - $29.88 per hour, depending on your experience, education, and other relevant factors.
