Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at arenaflex. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for accurately reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into our computer system, including calculating dosages, assigning instructions, and processing payments in a timely manner. You will also communicate with physicians' offices and insurance companies to verify the accuracy of patient information and resolve any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately and efficiently enter prescriptions into the computer system, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to established protocols
Communicate with physicians' offices and insurance companies to verify patient information and resolve issues
Respond to patient calls to process new and refill medication orders, including verifying benefits and addressing patient concerns
Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless and efficient data entry processes
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to continuously improve processes and patient care


Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical, communication, and interpersonal skills. The following requirements and qualifications are essential:
Essential Qualifications:

Valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician license
At least 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy setting
Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email
Strong keyboarding skills and ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment


Preferred Qualifications:

6 months of experience as a pharmacy technician, with preference for experience in a specialty mail-order pharmacy setting
90 days of experience handling customer needs via phone, with strong customer service skills
Experience working in healthcare, with knowledge of benefits, insurance, and medical terminology
Familiarity with clinical billing, coding, and other clinical support roles
Customer service experience in an office setting, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
