Job Overview As a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch customer service to our members, handling inbound and outbound calls, and resolving issues related to pharmacy benefits, providers, or claims. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity, offering a competitive pay rate of $18.50/hr. - $19.50/hr. (depending on experience), with a $1/hr. shift differential for overnight shifts. If you are a certified pharmacy technician, you may be eligible for the higher pay range. Key Responsibilities Answer questions and handle problems regarding pharmacy benefit, provider, or claim issues in a professional and empathetic manner Handle inbound calls and make outbound calls to follow up with members, providers, and pharmacies as necessary Spend approximately 90% of your time on the phones, providing exceptional customer service and support to our members Seek approval for overrides and prior authorizations as needed and enter them into the claims system Monitor pharmacy claims processing and complete data entry of member records Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by management Essential Qualifications 1+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry A pharmacy technician certification is highly preferred (inactive certifications also apply) 1+ year(s) of PBM or health benefits experience Experience working in a high-volume call center is highly preferred High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Certified pharmacy technician with active or inactive certification 2+ years of experience in customer service or call center environment Experience with claims processing and data entry Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefits and healthcare industry Skill and Competency Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to empathize with our members and provide personalized support. You should be highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in computer software and claims processing systems is also essential.
