Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric LPN to provide total care to our pediatric patients in favorable home environments located in Leawood, Kansas City, Olathe, Overland Park, Shawnee, and Leavenworth. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, providing care that includes hygiene care, tube feedings, medication administration, neurological assessments, vital signs, trach care/suctioning, ventilator care, and much more. Our pediatric nursing team works closely with our Nurse Supervisor, patients, families, and Physicians to achieve successful patient outcomes, and we offer live help from a nurse available 24/7 for any clinical issues that may arise in the home.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality patient care to pediatric patients in their homes, including hygiene care, tube feedings, medication administration, and other medical procedures as needed
Conduct neurological assessments, take vital signs, and perform trach care/suctioning and ventilator care as required
Work collaboratively with our Nurse Supervisor, patients, families, and Physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain client confidentiality at all times
Complete accurate and timely charting on a laptop/tablet, and participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and best practices
Participate in our buddy system training program, which includes hands-on training and thorough competencies to ensure your success in this role
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:
A current LPN license in good standing
Current CPR Certification (BLS)
A negative TB skin test (within the last year)
Adherence to HIPAA guidelines and ability to maintain client confidentiality
A laptop/tablet to complete charting on
COVID vaccination preferred but not required
