About blithequark and the Patient Experience Department blithequark is a renowned academic medical center, proud to serve South Florida, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Our physicians represent over 100 specialties and sub-specialties, with more than one million patient encounters each year. The Patient Experience department is dedicated to ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and providing support to our patients, families, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy by accessing patient information only to the extent necessary to fulfill assigned duties, executing departmental policy regarding HIPAA requirements. Provide exceptional customer service, making safety, care, and satisfaction the priority in every interaction. Create ID badges for patients, families, and visitors upon entering the hospital lobbies, and assist with online profile creation for the Fast Pass system. Act as a point of reference for patients, families, and visitors who need assistance or information, attending to their wishes and requirements. Escort patients or family members when appropriate, and assist with wheelchair transportation or other needs to support our differently-abled patients. Verify appointments in EPIC to validate parking, and work closely with Public Safety for patients/visitors who are not permitted to visit the facility. Maintain a clean work environment and professional appearance, complying with relevant health and safety procedures. Cover weekend and/or evening shifts as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's success. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A High School diploma or equivalent. Prior Customer Service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Proficiency in English; multilingual skill is strongly preferred, with Spanish speaking being a plus. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm, professional, and empathic demeanor. Excellent communication skills, speaking clearly and maintaining a positive tone and helpful attitude. The ability to multitask and utilize time-management skills effectively. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Any relevant education, experience, or certifications that demonstrate your ability to provide exceptional customer service and work effectively in a healthcare environment. Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting, particularly in a customer-facing role.
