Position Overview Job Title: Part-Time Tutor Location: Bernardsville, NJ (with some online tutoring options) Compensation: $50 per hour (dependent on experience) Start Date: Immediate hiring Key Responsibilities As a part-time tutor with Collegewise, you will be responsible for: Instructing students privately at our offices or online (via Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, etc.) Preparing students for ACT, SAT, ISEE/SSAT, AP exams, and academic subjects Developing and implementing customized lesson plans to meet students' needs Providing ongoing support and feedback to students and parents Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communication with parents Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Ability to score in the 95th percentile or above in selected subjects (ACT/SAT, Subject Tests, or AP exams) For academic subjects, a 95th percentile score on the associated Subject Test(s) For GMAT and GRE tutors, a 90th percentile score Preferred Qualifications: Teaching or tutoring experience (preferred but not required) Experience working with high school students Familiarity with college admissions process and testing requirements Skills and Competencies To succeed as a part-time tutor with Collegewise, you will need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong teaching and tutoring skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in technology, including online platforms and tools Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Collegewise, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our tutors.
