Our tutoring arm, Collegewise Academic Services, is seeking experienced and passionate part-time tutors to join our team in Westport, CT. The Role As a part-time tutor with Collegewise Academic Services, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students. You'll work privately with students at our offices, and in some cases, online, to help them achieve their academic goals. Your responsibilities will include: Instructing students in a variety of subjects, including ACT, SAT, ISEE/SSAT, Subject Tests, AP exams, IB subjects, academic subjects, and study skills Teaching GRE and GMAT prep for graduate students Developing customized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student Providing ongoing support and feedback to help students track their progress Collaborating with our team of counselors and tutors to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support Requirements To be successful in this role, you'll need: Essential Qualifications: A four-year college degree The ability to score in the required percentile for your chosen subjects: ACT/SAT, Subject Tests, or AP exams: 99th percentile or above Academic subjects: 95th percentile on the associated Subject Test(s) GMAT and GRE tutors: 90th percentile Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to relate to teens while presenting yourself as a professional to adults A strong commitment to helping students achieve their goals Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a tutor or teacher Familiarity with the college admissions process Experience working with students in a one-on-one or small group setting What We Offer As a part-time tutor with Collegewise Academic Services, you'll enjoy: A competitive hourly rate of $50 The opportunity to work with a talented team of counselors and tutors A flexible schedule that allows you to work at least 10 hours per week, with the potential to earn more Professional development and support to help you succeed in your role The chance to make a real difference in the lives of our students Health benefits, including medical, vision, and dental, and 401(k) matching after meeting eligibility requirements Our Culture and Values At Collegewise, we're committed to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment that values collaboration, creativity, and compassion.
