About the Role As a Senior UI/UX Developer at CSSI, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing safety tools for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other stakeholders. Your expertise in frontend development, UI/UX design, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) will be instrumental in creating high-quality, user-friendly, and secure web applications that meet the needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities Perform full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Collaborate with FAA and stakeholders on the design and development of safety tools, leveraging your expertise in UI/UX development. Develop, test, and implement web applications with a focus on frontend development, ensuring compatibility across multiple browsers and platforms. Utilize your proficiency in JavaScript, Node.JS, HTML, and CSS to build REST APIs and develop scalable frontend solutions. Implement Single Page Applications using Angular and/or React front-end technologies, ensuring seamless user experiences. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness of websites using Bootstrap, and work with web accessibility standards. Develop complex interactives, backend integrations, and third-party integrations, showcasing your versatility as a UI/UX developer. Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others to ensure adherence to coding standards. Troubleshoot and debug website issues to ensure smooth functionality, and identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve UI-related issues, demonstrating your ability to work effectively in a team environment. Participate in Agile practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings, to ensure iterative and incremental delivery of software products. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in UI development, continually enhancing your skills and knowledge. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, IT Management, or other related IT degrees. Engineering, math, and science degrees are acceptable substitutes. At least 8 years of software development experience, including experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL or similar backend databases. Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.JS, HTML, and CSS, along with experience in building REST APIs. Solid experience in Angular and/or React front-end technologies, and familiarity with Single Page Applications. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Effective communication and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Knowledge or familiarity with User Design tools like Figma, enhancing your ability to create user-centered designs. Familiarity with AWS, demonstrating your understanding of cloud-based technologies. Experience with single-sign-on and multi-factor authentication, showcasing your expertise in security protocols. Comfortable using Git/Bit Bucket for version control, ensuring efficient code management and collaboration.
