Key Responsibilities and Expectations In this dynamic and customer-facing role, your responsibilities will be multifaceted, requiring a unique blend of technical skills, interpersonal abilities, and a deep understanding of our brand values. Your primary goal will be to ensure that every customer feels like the most valued person, through the delivery of exceptional service and support. Key responsibilities include: Utilizing computer systems to sell, print, and reissue tickets, as well as manage the check-in process, ensuring all customers have the necessary documentation for travel. Guiding and assisting customers with the ticketing and baggage check-in process, providing clear and concise information to facilitate a seamless travel experience. Tagging baggage and performing lifting tasks, including transferring baggage from scales to conveyor belts, and handling items at various levels, all while practicing safety-conscious behaviors. Assisting customers with routing, trip planning, and gate boarding, utilizing computers to provide information on seat availability, gate announcements, flight status, and managing the boarding process. Operating jet ways and performing tasks related to aircraft preparation, such as lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors, all with a focus on safety and efficiency. Essential Qualifications for Success To excel in this role, you will need to possess a combination of skills, qualifications, and personal attributes that align with our brand values and customer service standards. These include: A high school diploma or GED equivalent, demonstrating a foundational level of education and knowledge. A consistent prioritization of safety and security, for both yourself and others, reflecting our commitment to a safe and secure travel environment. Being at least 18 years of age, with the maturity and responsibility required for a customer-facing role. The ability to frequently lift bags or items weighing up to and including 80 pounds, as part of the physical demands of the job. Authorization to live and work in the country you are applying to, with the legal right to employment. Possession of entry-level computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to our systems and technologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills, using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation, to effectively interact with customers and colleagues. Fluency in English, both written and oral, as well as Spanish, to cater to our diverse customer base and ensure inclusive communication. A willingness to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the operational demands of the travel industry.
