Your key responsibilities will include: Transferring confidential data from paper and/or electronic formats into billing software (Timeslips) using a keyboard, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Typing in data provided directly from staff, ensuring that all information is captured correctly and efficiently. Verifying data by comparison and generating reports, to ensure that all information is accurate and up-to-date. Sorting and organizing paperwork (both electronic and hard copy) following data entry, to maintain a high level of organization and efficiency. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and a commitment to learning. Prior work experience in data entry, preferably in a medical, legal, or insurance claims office, although not essential. Typing proficiency, with a preferred level of at least 45 words per minute (wpm) accuracy, and no errors, to ensure that all data is entered efficiently and accurately. Some understanding of the internal processes of medical facilities and med-legal terminology, although training will be provided to support your development. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded: Previous experience working in a medical, legal, or insurance claims office, demonstrating a strong understanding of the industry and its terminology. Advanced typing skills, with a high level of accuracy and efficiency, to ensure that all data is entered quickly and correctly. Experience with billing software, such as Timeslips, to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
