Job Summary
The Part-Time Recreation Customer Service Representative will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our recreation center. The successful candidate will assist in supervising instructors, programs, and activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for patrons. This role requires flexibility, as you will be working evenings and/or weekends as needed. As a representative of arenaflex, you will be expected to provide exceptional customer service, maintain accurate records, and perform various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in supervising instructors, programs, and activities during assigned scheduled hours, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for patrons
Check out equipment to patrons, maintain attendance and class records, and utilize basic computer skills to enroll students in class programs
Provide basic information to patrons regarding all arenaflex activities, programs, and services
Supervise large groups, including children, to ensure health and safety standards are maintained and to assure orderly integration of all programs
Communicate courteously and effectively with patrons, the public, and other arenaflex employees, both verbally and in writing
Perform minor maintenance duties, including ensuring the cleanliness of the building and lifting/carrying boxes of garbage bags and/or recycling products
Work effectively in a team environment, developing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and supervisors


Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:

Completion of ninth grade
Basic computer skills and knowledge of equipment used in various games, sports, and other recreation activities (preferred)
Experience using Class software (preferred)
Ability to work evening and weekend hours
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to deal courteously and effectively with other employees and the public
Ability to develop and maintain effective public relations, make effective decisions quickly, and work effectively in a small team environment
Spoken and written English language ability required


Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a recreation or community setting
Knowledge of recreation programs, activities, and services
Experience working with diverse groups, including children, adults, and seniors
Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Basic computer skills and knowledge of software applications
Ability to lift/carry boxes of garbage bags and/or recycling products (up to 30 pounds)
Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
Ability to cope effectively with high noise levels
