Experienced Part-Time Night Auditor – Guest Services and Hotel Operations Specialist at Home2 Suites by Hilton Port Arthur

About the Role As a Night Auditor at Home2 Suites by Hilton Port Arthur, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the overnight shift. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, handling front desk operations, and performing various administrative tasks. This is a part-time position, working from 11pm to 7am, and we are looking for someone who is flexible, reliable, and able to work independently. Key Responsibilities Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests in a professional manner, informing them of our hotel's facilities and services. Handle guest issues, complaints, and requests in a prompt and courteous manner, resolving them to the satisfaction of both the guest and the hotel. Answer queries regarding hotel services, registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions, and coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests. Operate the front desk computer system, checking guests in and out, posting charges, making reservations, and running audits. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including room status, guest information, and financial transactions. Inform Housekeeping of vacant dirty rooms, update room status, and notify Maintenance of any reported problems with guest rooms. Complete shift checklists to ensure the hotel information is updated and team members are prepared for the daily activities. Sense and respond to all guest concerns or requests in a manner that leaves the guest feeling assured and optimistic, escalating issues to a supervisor or manager when necessary. Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You should be able to stand for at least 8 hours, lift a minimum of 35 pounds, and have a command of the English language (Spanish language is a bonus). Additionally, you should have: Previous hotel or customer service experience (preferred but not required) Experience working with computers and front desk software A thorough knowledge of safety and emergency procedures Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment The ability to work well under pressure and remain calm during stressful situations Career Growth and Development At Home2 Suites by Hilton Port Arthur, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
