About the Role We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Part-Time Food Preparation and Service Cast Member to join our team in a remote capacity. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages to our guests in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Plans, seasons, and cooks to prepare menu items for all meals throughout the day Prepares and organizes food on serving dishes and is responsible for portion control and plate presentation May cook, mix, or season ingredients to make dressings, sauces, flavors, fillings, and spreads Works with food items, including but not limited to eggs, gluten, yeast, tree nuts, and other allergens May wash, peel, cut, scoop, dice, and julienne vegetables and fruits Prepares, measures, mixes (following recipes), and cooks and enhances necessary starters (hot or cold), salads, pastas, sandwich fillings, waffles, and other food items May work in, but not limited to, the following stations: storage prep station, cold prep station, constructing agent station, hot prep stations Ability to plan items according to recipe guidelines Knowledge and understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation, including temperature requirements Has good judgment of food quality and production, understands the impact of spoilage Ability to assist Cook in planning items for guests with special dietary needs Cleans kitchen equipment and practices HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) methods May cut and slice meat and cheese Produces garde trough work for cafes May prepare sandwiches to individual order or on a production line basis May prepare, sear, cook, broil, or steam food items as required to complete allocated production Essential Capabilities Continually walking/standing Occasionally pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs, frequently up to 75 lbs Continually lifting up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50-75 lbs (while retrieving mass items from storage) Regularly bending/winding/stooping (cooking at various stations, reaching for utensils) Regular use of hands, wrist movement, grasping Regular use of knives, slicers, and kitchen blenders Works primarily indoors, but may be exposed to outdoor conditions (special events when required) Favored Capabilities Enrolled in culinary education program or similar Recommendation from school Bilingual preferred What We Offer As a member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary of $18/hour, as well as the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
