As a Part-Time Customer Service Representative, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with customers to ensure their moving experience is seamless, stress-free, and memorable.

**Job Summary**

As a Part-Time Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers receive the highest level of support and assistance throughout their moving journey. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide solutions, and ensure that their expectations are met. This role requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Assist customers inside and outside the U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services, including rentals, equipment inspections, and returns.
* Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions.
* Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring safe and secure transportation of customer equipment.
* Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels and performing routine maintenance tasks.
* Answer questions and educate customers regarding U-Haul products and services, providing solutions to meet their moving needs.
* Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer transactions.
* Install hitches and trailer wiring, ensuring safe and secure transportation of customer equipment.
* Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment) and drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment), as required.
* Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University, staying up-to-date on the latest products, services, and best practices.

**Minimum Qualifications**

* Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
* Ability to lift and move equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs, assisted or unassisted.

**Work Environment**

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields. Physical demands include long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs, assisted or unassisted.
