Experienced Part-Time Administrative Support Assistant – Extension Office Operations and Community Engagement

About the Role
As a Part-Time Administrative Support Assistant, you will work closely with our regional extension business operations manager, regional client relationship manager, extension educators, and other administrative support assistants to ensure the effective delivery of our programs and services. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
Providing administrative support for county extension programs and events, including master gardener, master watershed steward, and 4-H volunteer programs
Assisting with county extension program and events coordination, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events
Providing customer relationship support, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing general information about our services
Assisting with office communications, multimedia product development, and publications, including social media communications and content creation
Engaging in social networking, including Facebook, Penn State websites, and other online platforms
Performing other clerical and administrative duties as needed, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication, phone, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be able to assume the temporary/occasional role and duties of other office support staff on an "as needed" basis across a multi-county area. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines will be essential.
Essential Qualifications:
High school diploma or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
1+ years of related experience in an administrative support role
Excellent communication, phone, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in the use of internet searches, file formatting, document retrieval, and email
Experience with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Office365
Experience with Penn State's Salesforce web-based customer relationship management software application
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a team environment with excellent team skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines
Experience with social media communications and content creation
Experience with event planning and coordination

This is a part-time, non-academic, non-exempt position that requires 20 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. The position is based at Penn State Extension's Delaware County office, located at the Smedley Park Environmental Center/Lewis House, 20 Paper Mill Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
