As a Packaging Strategy Lead - Data, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our packaging strategy and driving business growth through data-driven insights. Job Summary As a Packaging Strategy Lead - Data, you will be responsible for developing and implementing packaging strategies that drive sales, enhance brand love, and exceed customer expectations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and supply chain, to identify opportunities for packaging optimization and sustainability. Your expertise in data analysis and interpretation will inform packaging design decisions and ensure that our packaging solutions meet customer needs and preferences. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement packaging strategies that drive sales, enhance brand love, and exceed customer expectations Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and supply chain, to identify opportunities for packaging optimization and sustainability Analyze data to inform packaging design decisions and ensure that packaging solutions meet customer needs and preferences Develop and manage change cycles to ensure accurate packaging documentation and portfolio management across multiple systems and teams Create and deliver innovative training and communication programs to drive understanding of packaging standards, specifications, and data accuracy best practices Assess data requirements, standards, and specifications to optimize safe, reliable, and cost-effective packaging solutions that align with industry standards and risk tolerance expectations Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of packaging data requirements, standards, and specifications Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive effective communication and compliance with packaging standards and expectations Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: A 4-year degree or equivalent experience 4+ years of experience in developing and managing documentation and standards projects, preferably in packaging design and development Ability to influence without authority, manage projects, work with teams, resolve conflicts, build consensus, and establish rapport and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization Experience with documentation best practices, technical writing, and reporting Skilled at developing and advising on content, structure, and delivery of effective training programs, roadshows, and communications Experience driving teams or projects, leading collaboration, empowering, and cooperation Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, and analytical skills Related experience with packaging or consumer products manufacturing preferred Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Adaptability and resilience; open to working in uncertain and rapidly changing environments Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work independently in a fast-paced environment Ability to work, communicate, and lead in a highly collaborative environment Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Visio applications What We Offer At Target, we are committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that supports the growth and development of our employees.
