Cleveland Play House, a renowned theatre company in Northeast Ohio, is seeking an experienced Out of School Time (OST) Specialist to join their Education Department. Key Responsibilities


Teach knowledge and skills in arts-related fields, such as theatre, dance, music, visual art, and performance studies, to K-12 students
Promote and model CPH's commitment to creating an anti-racist, safe, positive, and trauma-informed approach to education
Develop and implement curriculum plans, and document student progress through weekly reporting and attendance logs
Supervise and manage a team of part-time Teaching Artists
Create and maintain a positive classroom culture in collaboration with school staff
Participate in school, CPH educational, artistic, and other trainings as necessary, including trauma-informed care and practices
Correspond with CPH and assigned school staff, and attend special events to build relationships with the school community
Assist in facilitating K-12 students' access to art and theatre education, and substitute for other OST Specialist Instructors as needed
Support the creation and implementation of enrichment programming


Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:


A Bachelor's degree in Education, Theatre, Dance, Music, Visual Art, Performance Studies, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience working in your field, with additional education or internships considered in lieu of experience
Teaching experience with diverse age groups in an urban educational setting
Cultural awareness and experience incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices across all platforms
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail, and self-manage, solve problems, and make decisions
Comfortable in both collaborative and independent working environments


Preferred Qualifications


A Master's degree in a related field
Experience working with K-12 students in an out-of-school time setting
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and practices
