Job Overview As an Oncology Abstractor, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission by providing detailed and accurate documentation in various clinical projects. Key Responsibilities Provide detailed and complete documentation in a variety of clinical projects, ensuring high-quality data extraction from Electronic Health Records (EHRs) Follow standardized policies and procedures to extract clinical information from EHRs, including imaging reports, pathology reports, and clinical summaries Document oncology data in accordance with the United Kingdom's privacy regulations, adhering to our Patient Data Privacy Notice Offer direct feedback and input on new features, tools, and workflows to support content development and quality assurance of our software solutions Evaluate approaches to document new data points and ensure data quality, contributing to the continuous improvement of our systems Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should possess: A background as an Oncology/Haematology Nurse, Study Nurse, Clinical Research Associate (CRA), Clinical Trial Manager, or comparable professional experience A good understanding of oncology assessment and treatment patterns in the UK Strong communication skills, reliability, attention to detail, and integration skills A high degree of initiative and independence, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting Fluency in English Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with EHRs and clinical data management systems Familiarity with data abstraction and data quality assurance processes Knowledge of oncology-specific data standards and regulations A willingness to learn and adapt to new software solutions and technologies Skills and Competencies To excel as an Oncology Abstractor, you'll need: A detail-oriented and organized approach to work Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At Flatiron Health, we're dedicated to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
