**Experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist – Strategic Growth and Carrier Management**

We're now seeking an experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist to join our team and drive the growth of our ocean volumes. **Job Summary:** As an Ocean Product Development Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the growth of our ocean volumes, enhancing the development of our ocean product, and promoting our ocean product to customers. You'll work closely with our MD of Ocean, Global Trade Lane Team, Sales, and Operations to develop and implement strategies that increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality. You'll also be responsible for supporting carrier development, pricing, and performance analysis, as well as communicating with internal and external stakeholders to outline strategy and market conditions. **Key Responsibilities:** * Support the growth of ocean volumes by developing and implementing strategies that increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality * Work closely with the MD of Ocean, Global Trade Lane Team, Sales, and Operations to develop and implement pricing programs, review volume targets, and analyze carrier performance * Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to outline strategy, market conditions, and direction * Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded * Assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information regarding performance and competitive activity * Work with the MD of Ocean, Regional Ocean Management Team, and Marketing to promote the ocean product and develop external and internal communications * Manage annual budget, control, monitor, and report results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets * Support Sales and Operations as needed, including direct and indirect customer contact **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree or equivalent * At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing * Prior ocean carrier experience a plus * Familiarity with Microsoft Office apps * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master's degree or higher * Additional experience in the logistics industry * Certification in logistics or supply chain management * Proficiency in languages other than English **Skills and Competencies:** * Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks * Proficiency in Microsoft Office apps, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint * Familiarity with logistics software and systems **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At blithequark, we're committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
