Job Summary The Nursing Instructor's primary responsibilities include teaching in classrooms, labs, clinical, and online settings, as well as participating in campus and student activities. Instructional Duties Instruct classes as assigned, utilizing effective teaching methods and strategies to engage students and promote learning Prepare for classes by organizing and becoming familiar with student material, preparing lesson plans and course material as required Objectively assess students for academic performance, providing regular and constructive feedback to help them achieve their goals Effectively organize and present subject matter to students, utilizing instructional plans and supplementing approved student material as required Ensure security of assessment tools and confidential documentation, maintaining the integrity of the educational process Utilize and monitor the learning management systems, ensuring that all classes are conducted for the required length of time Student Interaction Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, setting the example and being the role model for professionalism and conduct Provide regular and constructive feedback to students regarding academic performance, grades, professionalism, conduct, attendance, and other topics as necessary Proactively inform the Program Director of any student attendance, academic, or behavioral concerns, contributing to retention management and student success Appropriately maintain student records, grades, and attendance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with published policies Facilitate tutoring and makeup work as needed, ensuring and monitoring student participation and progress Related Duties Record keeping, scanning, and other administrative tasks as required Stay informed of current standards related to instructional methodology, participating in ongoing faculty and professional development activities Attend outside workshops and seminars to improve instructional and professional skills, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices Participate in campus and student activities, including orientations, staff meetings, and faculty meetings, contributing to a positive campus culture Assist with preparations for graduation ceremonies, attending and celebrating student achievements Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following qualifications and requirements: BSN is required with a clinical component (BON), MSN is preferred Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice experience (ACCSC) Must hold an active and unencumbered license to practice professional nursing in the state of Missouri (BON) Must never have been disciplined in any jurisdiction (BON) Must meet all regulatory and corporate qualifications (BON) Teaching experience is preferred, but not required Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and competencies: Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive campus culture Strong commitment to student satisfaction and success, with a passion for empowering students to achieve their full potential Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Concorde Career Colleges, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
