Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer II to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. As a Network Engineer II, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, ensuring that it is secure, scalable, and reliable. You will work closely with our team of technical experts to identify and resolve network issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our network infrastructure meets the needs of our business. Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our network infrastructure meets the needs of our business
Identify and resolve network issues, using tools such as protocol analysis, network flow analysis, and packet capture devices
Develop and implement network standards and procedures, ensuring that our network infrastructure is secure, scalable, and reliable
Work with technology vendors to evaluate software and hardware bugs, and implement fixes as needed
Communicate with internal and external contacts at various organizational levels to resolve issues and provide technical support
Participate in small to medium-sized application and system implementation projects, ensuring that they align with our network design standards
Collaborate with our business teams to understand their requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs
Participate in incident management, ensuring that incidents are effectively raised, managed, and resolved with full communication of status, plans, and actions to management and clients


Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field
Strong technical background, with experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance
Experience with network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, and IDS/IPS
Experience with network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex network issues and develop creative solutions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with minimal direction, and deliver results under tight deadlines


Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the media or digital content delivery industries
Working knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, industry standards, and best practices
Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, policy development, role-based authentication procedures, and security attack pathologies
Experience with scripting languages, such as Perl, Python, Ruby, Shell, C, or C++
Broad skills in multiple technical areas, including server, storage, desktop, security, transport, and network systems
